Just going through pictures of my Danube river cruise on AMA Waterways a couple months ago and will be posting several of them. This is the Parliament building in Budapest. I shot this picture from the hill across the river where the Fisherman's Bastion and Mathias Church are located in the Castle District.
The Parliament Building is the third-largest parliament building in the world, with a length of 268 meters (879 feet) and a width of 123 meters (404 feet). It's 96 meters (315 feet) tall, reflecting the year 896, which is when the Magyars (ancestors of modern Hungarians) settled in the area now known as Hungary.
